Pi Alpha holds 2022 Miss Black & Olde Gold Pageant on Feb. 26th

Clemson, South Carolina: Pi Alpha's held the chapter's Miss Black & Olde Gold pageant, its first public event since the pandemic's start, at Olde Main building on Saturday, February 26, 2022. The event was attended by more than 150 people and featured six pageant contestants participating in the event. The competition was MC'ed by Ms. Aundrea Gibbons, a senior Philology major at Clemson University.
After a close competition, Ms. Jordan Ashley Murdaugh, a senior, Political Science Major won the competition and will represent the chapter at the next district conference in October 2022. The 1st and 2nd runners were (1st Runner up, "Miss 1906") Jailah Zanders and (2nd runner Up "Miss 1983") Amber Ferguson, respectively.
"We are thrilled to hold our pageant again after a two-year absence", said Jadan English, current Pi Alpha President. "We have worked hard to hold this event safely and we are very proud of all of our contestants". Ms. Murdaugh was joined in her full court, by Ms. Jailah Zanders, Ms. Amber Williams, Ms. Danielle Blakey, Ms. Amber Ferguson, and Ms. Waliya Henry. Special thanks to Dr. Lori Pindar (Miss Black & Gold 2008) who helped coordinate the pageant with the Chapter.
Pi Alpha Chapter has held the chapter's Miss Black & Gold Pageant since 1983 and there have been 32 Miss Black & Gold Winners, winning six district titles and one regional title.
